Description
The Grippa has come to be one of the most popular Taylor bowls for crown green players, and it’s very easy to see why. Developed in partnership with crown green expert Roy Armson, the Grippa is a bowl that delights many players in its feel and movement.
Thanks to its stylish crescent grip, the Grippa certainly shines when it comes to playing in wet conditions and bowl handling becomes somewhat fraught. Available here in high density, the Taylor Grippa displays all the handling characteristics that you’d expect from a high density bowl from Taylor’s but not with added grippyness!

With a 2 full bias as standard, the Grippa standard density bowl from Taylor features all the performance and feel you’d expect of this classic crown green bowl. Available here in a standard density, the Grippa is a very popular general purpose bowl that performs equally well on both slow and fast greens alike.
If you’re considering other standard density bowls from Taylors or even Drakes Pride, it’s worth pointing out what makes the Grippa stand-out. The main feature of the bowl being its revolutionary crescent-shaped, which greatly improves the ability to handle the bowl and play consistently in wetter conditions and on wetter greens.
As with all the crown green bowls, the Taylor Grippa has a 2 full bias and is priced and sold as a pair. The bowls are black as standard but we do have a selection of different colours mount which are determined based on your chosen bowl weight.
