Bromsgrove & District Indoor Bowls Club

Bromsgrove District Indoor Bowls Club

Bromsgrove & District Indoor Bowls Club (BIBC) has been open since 1993 and has enjoyed a strong membership since then. Indoor bowls is a rare sport where men and women compete on an equal footing.

Several hundred, men and women, join the club each year to take part in league matches, friendly fixtures and competitions. The Club provides the ideal place to play bowls, whether you want a roll-up between friends or to take part in weekly matches.

Learning to bowl has many rewards including meeting new people, acquiring new skills and of course taking exercise. While many of the members are past retirement age, bowling is a sport for everyone and the Club encourages people of all ages to join.

There is an active Youth Development scheme in place and coaching is available for all. Bowling is available all year round.

BIBC is run by members for members. As a result the fees and charges are kept affordable. Not only do members come to bowl but also to chat and socialise.

There is a comfortable off rink seating area with tea, coffee and snacks available from the restaurant and a bar for those needing something stronger.

The restaurant also provides meals for members and matches. The bowling surface, of 6 rinks, is excellent having been relaid in 2012 after an unexpected and disastrous flood. In addition the whole kitchen, bar and seating area were completely replaced and improved after suffering flood damage.

BIBC has all the amenities expected from a top class sports venue. These include ample hard standing parking, a secure entry, staffed reception, separate men’s and women’s changing rooms, lockers, shoes and bowls for hire and off course friendly staff and members.

Here at BIBC we intend to offer a safe, warm and friendly bowls experience for all ages and all abilities for many years to come.
