Caversham Bowls Club

Whether an experienced bowler, or someone new to the game, our website aims to give you all the necessary information about our club, and we hope that you will come along and join us.

We are a friendly, mixed bowling club, where everyone is welcome. We celebrated our 90th Anniversary during 2012.

Our Club is situated in Albert Park, Albert Road, Caversham, Reading. RG4 7PL, and has the benefit of ample, free car-parking.

Our six-rink Green is acclaimed as one of the best in Berkshire, and is open daily between 11.00 a.m. and dusk, from April 2nd until September 25th (2016 season). Members are welcome to come along for a roll-up and use the Green whenever a rink is available.

Changing rooms are located next to the Green, with separate facilities for Ladies and Gentlemen, and within the changing rooms, lockers are available for members use, on application to the Secretary.
Our clubhouse and bar offer excellent facilities, being open to members and their guests throughout the season.

Amongst the pretty gardens surrounding the Green are ample viewing areas. If the weather is inclement, the green can be viewed from inside the clubhouse, where a drink can be enjoyed from the well-stocked bar, or tea/coffee can be prepared in the kitchen. The kitchen is also used to cater for the players in our friendly matches by providing appropriate meals.

A large car park is situated adjacent to the Green, and a frequent bus service (Pink 22) stops just a few yards from the entrance to the Park.
