King George Field Indoor Bowls Club

The playing ‘green’, a Dales Pro-weave carpet on laser-levelled boards, consists of 6 rinks. The ‘speed’ of our green was last timed at 18.1 seconds, it is still one of the fastest in the County.

The Club offers playing, social and corporate membership with Men’s, Ladies and mixed matches, also leagues, competitions and casual play. The indoor Winter season runs from September to April and facilities are in place for members to continue to play during the Summer months.

Coaching is available for beginners and inexperienced bowlers at agreed times, by arrangement.Bowlers can participate in events which range from friendly and competitive inter-club matches, internal leagues, mixed ballots, to National competitions. Members may also book rinks for casual play or practice.

The final total playing membership for the 2015/16 season stand at 388 (a combination of 282 men, 106 ladies & 6 Junior members) plus 41 Social Members.
